So spring is certainly showing its beauty in Southern California, the spring super bloom is in full swing. As you may know from my Instagram, I love flowers and I’ve found some great locations to see some of these impressive blooms. I wanted to make sure to share them with you, so that you have a chance to check out the spring super bloom before it ends.
I would highly recommend that you check out the Flower Fields in Carlsbad California. According to Wikipedia:
The Flower Fields is a flower garden found on the Carlsbad Ranch in Carlsbad, California. It opens up once a year in spring from March 1 through May 10.

I would also recommend going to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. According to Wikipedia:
Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve is a state-protected reserve of California, harboring the most consistent blooms of California poppies, the state flower. The reserve is open to visitors year-round. The visitors center will open March 1 and remain open through May 14. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.

Both are about a 2 hour drive from Los Angeles and will wind down in early May, so I would get over there ASAP.

Dear Claire,
These are lovely photos. Here in the north part of the state we’re not quite there yet. We’re still experiencing plenty of rain, but that will stop probably by next month and the flowers will start blooming. I’m trying to sell my house, so I’m looking forward to the warm, dry weather when people will start shopping for houses.
Love
Grandma
Hi Grandma!
I hope the flowers up north are just as pretty! You’ve had more rain than us so you may get a Super-Superbloom. Good luck selling the house too!
Love, Claire
