This week I’m doing a review of the Smile Brilliant at home Teeth Whitening system. They sent me a free trial of their product to check out and review. I’ll admit that I was originally hesitant because if you’re like me, tooth sensitivity is the one thing I absolutely dread when whitening my teeth. I’ve had some whitening procedures in the past, including lasers at the dentist office, but it was either ineffective or my teeth were so sensitive it hurt to eat and drink for days….good for the diet but nobody wants to be in pain for days with sensitive teeth. Fortunately, Smile Brilliant has it all figured out, each kit comes complete with a proprietary whitening agent and a very effective desensitizing gel for post whitening sensitivity.
At first I was worried that I would not be able to fit the whitening into my busy schedule. Smile Brilliant recommends whitening before you go to bed, but if you go out a lot in the evenings like I do, that won’t really work. Adding an extra 1 hour + of whitening to my already extensive pre-bedtime ritual would probably result in me waking up the next morning with the trays still in my mouth.… Read Full Post
This week I’m doing a review of the Onyx Youth Magnetic Mask. I was gifted this item by Onyx Youth and they asked me to do an honest review for you. I’ve seen other magnet mask videos on Youtube and Facebook and I was intrigued, so when Onyx Youth reached out to me I said “Yes!”. The mask is made in Korea and contains a unique blend of botanical oils, volcanic minerals and amino acids. Onyx Youth is an iron-rich formula which is removed with a powerful magnet that lifts impurities and rejuvenates skin.
This mask is different than the charcoal masks that rip off your skin when they come off, we’ve all seen the horrible videos. This mask was smooth when applied to the skin and came off very easily with the magnet (provided in the mask kit). I was a bit worried that the botanical oils would make me break out, but it didn’t. They recommend that you rub in the botanical oils after taking off the mask, but I found it to be a bit heavy for my oily skin so I washed my face afterwords. My skin looked great after the mask and my breakouts continued to improve days after. I really liked the results of the mask and it made my skin look clearer and brighter. I would definitely recommend it. To get your own Onyx Youth Magnet Mask just go here: http://bit.ly/2yH8yoK and use code “bemagnetic” at checkout to get 20% off.… Read Full Post
Los Angeles is synonymous with summer … living in the Hollywood Hills means sometimes you just need to add the beach to the equation. One of my favorite day trips is Venice Beach. It’s got a flavor all its own and only 30 minutes away …when there’s no traffic (which is never) … or 2 hours when the I10 is bumper to bumper. Nevertheless its always worth the trip. Here are a few of the sights I like to hit to get the very most out of my visit. Let me know your favorites in the comments below.
- First stop (after searching for parking) is a great latte or cup of coffee, I love Menotti’s. I was strolling around checking out the little beach shops one morning when I smelled the delicious aroma of coffee in the air. I followed my nose and ended up at Menotti’s. It’s a small, charming and they know how to make a great latte, complete with latte art. There are tables inside but when it’s not too hot I love to grab one of the little cafe tables outside and watch the people go by while I sip …trying to decide if I can handle just one more latte without getting the jitters.
If you’ve seen my Instagram account, you probably know that I like wine. One of my favorite places to visit is the Santa Ynez Wine Country, north of Santa Barbara. The first time we ever went to the Santa Ynez Wineries was in January 2015. My husband has always been enamored with the movie Sideways, so I decided to take him on a “Sideways tour”. I got us a private tour of Sanford Winery; we went to dinner at the Hitching Post II and had breakfast at Succulent Café, all from the movie. These 3 are still on my go-to list, but that list has gotten MUCH bigger. We go at least 2 times a year…probably more.
In my experience, I always think that you should do no more than three wineries in a day. After a certain number of wine tastings all wine tastes the same, and it can lead to some really bad decisions. I know because I still have some crap sitting in my wine cellar. Another one of my favorite activities is to get a picnic together and relax on the beautiful winery grounds. Picnics tend to slow things down a bit, just in case some of your fellow wine tasting buddies are into swigging their wine down and moving on to the next winery…not my favorite.… Read Full Post
