Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick Review

Today I’m reviewing the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick.  I originally purchased this foundation for a recent trip to Washington DC.  I wanted to do carry on only and I needed to reduce the number of liquids in my bag.  I did a lot of research on stick foundations that are suitable for oily and acne prone skin and they are few and far between. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick is one of the only oil free foundation sticks, so I thought I would give it a try.

Shrimp Tacos

Shrimp Tacos Recipe

Today I’m sharing my recipe for Shrimp Tacos.

This has been a go-to spring and summer dinner recipe in my house for over 10 years.  It’s simple, easy to make and full of flavor.

Shrimp Tacos

You can easily pair it with black beans, my Mexican rice and my Mexican corn to complete the meal.   I like to use either the outdoor grill with a grill basket or an indoor cast iron grill.  I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!

Spiced Mixed Nuts

Spiced Mixed Nuts- Perfect for any Party

I think these spiced mixed nuts are the perfect accompaniment to a great cocktail.  That’s why I love to make them when I have company over, have a cocktail party or just to enjoy while having “cocktail hour” on the patio with my husband.  These are always a hit at every party.  The combination of sweet, savory and spicy really wows the pallet.  This recipe can easily be tweaked by using your favorite nuts rather than the ones I uses (which are my favs).  If you make this for your friends they will most certainly love it, so you should probably make a lot!

Please check out my latest YouTube video to learn some additional tips and tricks on how I make the recipe.  You’ll be able to check out my husband’s amazing pan flipping skills too.

How to Pack a Wine Picnic

How to Pack a Wine Picnic- My Favorite Essentials

If you’ve seen my Instagram, you know that I love going wine tasting and I love a good picnic.  If you’ve ever been wine tasting, you probably noticed the strange phenomenon that wineries rarely have food.  If they do have food, they usually don’t have much variety and it won’t be gluten free (I’m gluten intolerant).  Therefore, I’m in the habit of packing a wine picnic when we go wine tasting.  I’ve packed quite a few at this point, so I know what works and what doesn’t, so I’m pretty much an expert on how to pack a wine picnic.

Here are my Wine Picnic Essentials:

How to Pack a Wine Picnic

  1. I decided that instead of buying a picnic table cover that I would simply re-purpose one of my Turkish beach towels
  2. It can be very windy on a vineyard, so these colorful cloth napkins come in very handy.
  3. I love these great melamine salad plates and they all fit in the picnic basket.
  4. Pack an all purpose cutting board
  5. I love to bring music with me too, but make sure that you’re not bothering other people.  I love this Beats Pill.
  6. I also really love my insulated picnic basket.
